Methodical fact finding
As a marine surveyor my job is to take a measured and systematic approach to inspecting the vessel. I am there to gather facts, investigate suspect areas, and not jump to any conclusions until all angles have been examined. The company is equipped and ready to survey fiberglass, composite, wood, steel, and aluminum vessels.
The purpose of a marine survey
Firstly, it’s about safety for you, your crew, and your passengers. A marine survey of a vessel will find the strengths and weaknesses of the vessel in question. The survey report becomes a useful resource about which systems satisfy ABYC, NFPA, and Federal safety regulations. The report will list which systems fall short or are completely missing. Secondly, a Condition and Value survey may be required by your insurer, or Pre-Purchase survey is often a requisite from your bank for buying your new vessel.
